Job Title: Quality Manager
Location: Fort Worth, Texas
Salary: 70-90K DOE

Quality Manager Specific Job Description:
Will establish overall quality system, policies, and implementation for all business functions in the corporate structure. Will ensure overall process and product quality meet or exceed customer-defined expectations while driving a quality focused culture and continuous improvement. Will have oversight of all quality activities, issues, and concerns. Responsible for approval of routine corrective action plans. Manage a growing quality department with a minimum of 3 direct reports.

Specific Job Role & Activities:
•Enforce Watson Quality System at all levels and work with C level staff to develop policies and procedures.
•Manage and often lead problem definition and verification on all nonconformance’s.
•Manage and often develop initial corrective action as well as long term corrective action on all nonconformance’s coordinating with multiple departments and suppliers.
•Use resources to ensure all nonconformance data is documented electronically.
•Identify trends based on data analysis and drive corrective action.
•Lead Continuous Improvement Activities and develop CI strategy.
•Decompose strategic goals and objectives into tactical and operational objectives and lead Quality department to meet them.
•Actively manage Quality personnel ensuring adherence to Watson, Inc. policies and procedures.
•Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition / disciplinary actions.
•Coordinate and enforce all Watson testing processes and procedures.

Required Skills:
•Experience with or knowledge of Quality system implementation and deployment.
•Experience with Root Cause and Corrective Action systems and management thereof.
•Experience with Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Engineering design.
•Experience with Design for Manufacturing & Assembly (DFMA), Lean manufacturing / quality principles, or Six Sigma.
•Experience reading and interpreting Engineering designs.
•Experience with machining, welding, and mechanical assembly operations and a basic understanding of each.
•Experience reading and interpreting standards, certifications, and test results as it relates to materials, electrical components, hydraulic components, and mechanical components.
•Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, & Access).
•Experience with Quality management software.
•Srong analytical and problem solving skills.
•Experience implementing and assessing inspection and test points during manufacturing operations.
•Experience with inspection & testing of components and systems and related technology.
•Experience with ISO 9001 compliance and implementation.
•Experience developing work instructions for manufacturing processes.
•Experience certifying suppliers’ quality programs.

Desired Skills:
•Mechanical tool design experience for machining, welding, and assembly operations.
•Prior work experience as a Manufacturing and/or Mechanical Engineer.
•Working knowledge of Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD or working knowledge of any parametric CAD system (ProE, Catia, UG, SolidWorks).
•Database design and development using Microsoft Access and VBA.
•Heavy equipment manufacturing / quality experience highly desired.
•Experience with mobile hydraulics systems
•Lean or Six Sigma certification / Certified Quality Engineer
•Experience working in a low volume high mix manufacturing environment.
•Experience implementing a quality system.
•Experience managing personnel.

Minimum Experience / Education:
•Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a quality engineering or manufacturing engineering role showing a progressive growth in responsibility.
•B.S. in any engineering discipline, Mechanical or Manufacturing preferred.
