Job Title: Sr. Economist
Location: Boca Raton, FL
Salary: 100-135k, 25% Bonus

Job Purpose:
To play a leadership role in our Economics Practice Area, which is responsible for conducting research, providing internal consulting, and delivering external presentations and testimony to support our role as the leader in the collection, analysis, and dissemination of information for the workers compensation market. Ongoing areas of economic research are diverse and include but are not limited to: medical cost drivers, labor market developments, financial markets and the cost of capital, and moral hazard as well as statistical modeling to enhance traditional actuarial methods.
Major Duties:
• Identifying, designing, leading, conducting, and defending major economic research
projects
• Preparing and delivering presentations on research and related projects
• Providing guidance for and review of economic analysis in support of ratemaking
• Serving as an expert witness on economic aspects of rate filings
Required Education, Experience & Skills:
• Ph.D. in economics or closely related field plus at least 10 years plus professional
experience in academic and business economic research preferably including some
relevant working experience in financial markets, insurance, professional
consulting, and/or medical/healthcare economics.
• Understanding of macroeconomics, financial economics, accounting and
econometric modeling.
• Able to accurately present highly technical material to both technical and non-
technical audiences. Proven leadership, management and influencing skills.
